The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps (also known as "BD" and "Devs") is a World Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Concord, California, United States. The Blue Devils are members of Drum Corps International (DCI). The corps has finished first or second for the past 13 seasons (2007–19) and has placed no lower than fifth since finishing third in 1975. They also hold the record for the highest score in DCI history, winning the 2014 DCI World Championship title with a score of 99.65. The Blue Devils are the current DCI Champions, with an unmatched record of 19 titles to date.

The Sound of Music
The Sound of Music is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Songs from the musical that have become standards include "The Sound of Music", "Edelweiss", "My Favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain", and "Do-Re-Mi".
The original Broadway production opened in November 1959, and the show has enjoyed numerous productions and revivals since then. It has also been made into an Academy Award-winning 1965 movie musical. The Sound of Music was the final musical written by Rodgers and Hammerstein; Hammerstein died of cancer nine months after the Broadway premiere.

In 1976, Huckeby was appointed a professor at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where he would later become music department chair, director of educational outreach, and, in 1990, dean of the graduate school. In 1998–99, Huckeby served as the executive director of Tulsa Ballet (Tulsa, Oklahoma) prior to becoming the associate vice president for academic affairs at Northeastern State University (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) on July 1, 1999. Since 1991 he has successfully toured Cuba, South America and Europe giving concerts and master classes with great acclaim from both critics and the public in general. He is a regular adjudicator on international competitions and a guitar professor at ISA, (Instituto Superior de Arte) Havana.
